After 66 years The days of rolling up for a game of bowls at the Smart Road club in New Plymouth are over. Dwindling membership has forced the club to close down and amalgamate with a bigger city club called Fitzroy. Smart Road Bowling Club was the closet bowling club to Bell Block. The next closet is Lepperton Bowling Club.
