Niko Meafua’s school is mourning the loss of a boy who was destined to become a leader. New Plymouth Boys’ High principal Michael McMenamin has said the school community was deeply saddened by Niko’s death. The 16-year-old was the top librarian at the school and was a very talented and dedicated student. He went on to say that Niko was a fine boy and that he was one of the schools future leaders and he had a lot of promise. Mr McMenamin has also said support services would be offered at New Plymouth Boys’ High School today, (Thursday 27th June 2013 ) for students and staff.
