Taranaki has lost its second pre-season rugby match, going down 31-29 to Hawkes Bay in Taupo on Thursday afternoon 1st August 2013. In a game which see-sawed throughout, Hawkes Bay scored three tries in the final quarter to steal the game. Several Taranaki players put their hands up for the NPC squad, which will be named tomorrow. Right wing Seta Tamanivalu scored two good tries and set up a third, while Number 8 Iopu Iopu was strong throughout. (Good Taranaki names).
