Three people have been taken to hospital after a messy two car crash on State Highway 3 this afternoon, Saturday 31st August 2013. The major crash occurred at about 1.30pm on the Devon Rd, Airport Dr intersection on the outskirts of Bell Block. A huge number of Emergency services attended the scene, Inspector Marty Parker from police central communications said. Patients were ”extracted” from a vehicle before being transferred to hospital in a moderate condition, he said. Traffic diversions and a road closure had been in place but the road was now open by 3pm. The Serious Crash Unit has been informed. A huge amount of Police and fire personnel diverted traffic whilst the SH3 was closed for around 45 minutes.
