Today, Saturday 14th December 2013 saw the Bell Block based Big Basket Wholesale Food Mart run a Gold Coin Fundrasing BBQ to benefit the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, which crashed into the Philippines on November 8th 2013. This killed around 4000 people and has left millions of People Homeless…..A steady stream of people came along to the Big Basket Wholesale Food Mart at 2 Pohutukawa Place, Bell Block (opposite the PIHMS Collage)This key event was also supported by: The Bell Block & Districts Lions Club, The New Plymouth Indian Community, The New Plymouth Philippines Community, and the Gallery Frame Shop in Bell Block.
