In a sad move, instead of moving the Bell Block Caltex Truck Stop from Nugent Street, Bell Block to were the hundreds of heavy trucks are based over on the other side of the motorway the Bell Block Caltex Truck Stop on Nugent Street, Bell Block has had it’s new underground storage tanks doubled in size. This seems a very poor decision firstly by Caltex, then the New Plymouth District Council and thirdly for common sense. In the warmer months of the year the roads will be cut up again with a mass of wet sticky tar. There will be again the issue with the hundreds of truck movements into what is a shopping and residential area. What a mess…..
