The 2014 Miss Taranaki Contest is now Underway – Bell Block has a Contestant

Sunday the 9th February 2014 saw the first 2014 Miss Taranaki event kick off a busy calendar of events for Miss Taranaki Contestants, and Bell Block’s very own Miss Tawny Smiith. (Yes that is correct, with 2 i’s) With every contestant dressed in black today’s first event was for Tawny to do her Publicity Photo Shoot & Preparation Workshops. This was held at the Turning Point Studio, 5g Bromley Place, New Plymouth. All contestant’s were offered assistance with speech, microphone technique/grooming, makeup/hair and presentation skills. Modelling rehearsal for the races. Miss Tawny Smiith is a 17 year old girl from Tiromoana Crescent in Bell Block. Tawny is a born and bred Bell Block girl, who went to Puketapu School, Highland’s School, and is now in her last year at NPGHS. Tawny loves netball and modeling. The Bell Block and District’s Lions Club has kindly donated the $345.00 entry fee for Tawny Smiith. This money was raised by selling Raffle Tickets for Project’s for Bell Block’s Youth. All of Bell Block is behind you Tawny!!!!! The guy in the Jacket, (Chris Wright) is not in the contest, but he was representing Tawny sponsor…..Bell Block and District Lions Club, as Club President.
