Bell Block’s Warren Bolton hit’s 50th Winner with Elvis, then 51st with Neena Rock

On the 2nd February 2014, Elvis is back on track. And he gave Bell Block’s Warren Bolton something to sing and dance about. The first starter’s win in the opening race on the Taranaki Racing Club’s seven-race card gave Bolton his 50th win as an owner-trainer on the New Plymouth track. “Very special, absolutely. To get my 50th and now 51st Winner (Neena Rock) (Saturday 15th February,2014) on my home track makes it even more special,” he said after the Road to Rock-Impulsive Rhythm gelding had come from last in the straight to win the $10,000 Forman Commercial Interiors 2-y-o Maiden 1100m. Bolton, who has been training horses for nearly 20 years and shares in the partnership of Elvis and Neena Rock with his wife Claire, said he could clearly remember his first winner. “Trimophe in 1998. It was at Feilding, then they closed the track. Trimophe went on to finish fourth in the Brisbane Cup … a handy little horse.” Bolton said he had owned and trained a few nice horses over the years. “The biggest win I had was with Victoire in the Group 3 Fayette Park Stud for fillies and mares at Hawera. She won four or five races for me. Zeta Black was another, she won the Canterbury Breeders’ Stakes.
