The Waiwhakaiho Bridge upgrade is soon to be under way with tenders closing in three weeks, early May 2014. There is scaffolding erected under the bridge and what appears to be geotechnical work going on. The New Plymouth District Council has said the design was complete and the project was in the bidding stage, with potential construction companies inspecting the site.
