ANZAC DAY Parade 2014 – New Plymouth

Thousands of people gathered at New Plymouth’s cenotaph this morning, Friday 25th April 2014 to remember those who had fallen on the world’s battlefields. People solemnly filed through New Plymouth’s streets in the dark making their way to the cenotaph for the dawn parade. The large crowd of young and old spoke in hushed tones as they waited for the service to begin. New Plymouth district councillor and former SAS soldier John ”Horse” McLeod lead the parade along Queen St. Speaking to the large crowd Reverend Albie Martin asked them to remember those who had fallen on battlefields over the years….roll on next year for the 100th Year.
