A Bell Block man was left with serious facial injuries after he was assaulted in his home early this morning, Wednesday 30th April 2014. The 51-year-old was allegedly attacked at 1am. Bell Block Police found the alleged offender, a 35-year-old New Plymouth man, nearby a short time later. He was charged with injuring with intent to injure and burglary and appeared in the New Plymouth District Court today. The victim was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital for on-going treatment.
