The first stage of improvements to aircraft parking at Bell Block’s New Plymouth Airport started on the 18th May 2015. Outside Taranaki Contractors “Fulton Hogan” are being used!!!!! The month long project will extend a concrete apron on the airside of the terminal by 1,115m2, and will provide much-needed parking for air ambulances. Further extensions are planned by the middle of 2016.
