Heavy rain is forecast to hit Bell Block and the rest of Taranaki from midnight on Monday 1st June 2015 the MetService says. Up to 140mm of rain is expected to fall on Mt Egmont through to 3am on Wednesday 3rd June 2015. The MetService predicts peak intensities between 15mm and 25mm per hour to fall with possible thunderstorms. The Taranaki Regional Council warns the heavy rain may cause minor flooding within some river systems and there was the possibility of slips and surface flooding in some areas. Be careful driving out there.
