Port Taranaki Bulls Rugby team outclassed by the Sharks

Bell Block Rugby Fans were brought back down to earth on Thursday evening 8th October 2015 with the Port Taranaki Bulls 6 game winning streak coming to an abrupt end after being thumped by close to 20 points 35-17 by the High Flying Tasman Mako Sharks. Played at the impressive Yarrow Stadium, in front of a large crowd who were greatly entertained again by more of the action off the field than on it, as has been the case at most home games this season. The deserved win for the visitors stopped their surprise run of form of 3 losses and sends the Port Taranaki Bulls back down the Canterbury for one of the semi-finals. Two wins over Canterbury in the same season is required to get to the NPC 2015 Final. Yeah right, time for a Tui. Tasman 35 (Quentin MacDonald, Liam Squire, Vernon Fredericks, Kieron Fonotia tries; Trent Renata con, 2 pen, David Havili 2 con, pen) Taranaki 17 (Jackson Ormond, Berny Hall tries; Codey Rei con, Charlie Ngatai pen, Liam McBride con). HT: 3-7
