The back 2 back thrashings the Port Taranaki Bulls Rugby Team have encountered in the past 2 weeks should come of no surprise to Bell Block Rugby Fans. We have said in our reports that the Taranaki Bulls were 20 points away from the Tasman Mako Sharks and Canterbury. And so it has been proved. The big shock of the season was the win over Canterbury away, but all this proved was 3 games in 10 days was a tall ask, even for a top side like Canterbury. The Port Taranaki Taranaki Bulls were down at half time 19-8 which blew out to a massive thrashing 46-20 by full time. The only surprise from this one sided game was the poor crowd turnout. The final will be a sell out as Canterbury face Auckland at the AMI Stadium in Christchurch.
