Bell Block Stream Under Attack

The pollution of a Bell Block stream is being investigated after a report of foaming in the water. On Sunday, October 18,2015 Taranaki Regional Council was alerted to foaming on the Waitaha Stream catchment, between Wills Rd and Airport Dr, off State Highway 3. A monitoring programme for the Waitaha Stream catchment has been in place since 1994, to oversee the discharges from industrial companies into the area. People can report a pollution incident by calling the council’s environmental hotline on 0800 736 222. The council has a 24-hour, seven day a week response to environmental incidents.
