The first of two feral acts in Bell Block in recent days. On this occasion the drama began about midnight on Tuesday 29th December 2015 when police were alerted to a male driver doing burnouts in the Parklands area of Bell Block. Police Officers arrived to find the the driver burning rubber at the intersection of Parklands and Lantana avenues but when they attempted to stop him, he fled with police in pursuit.(Why the public didn’t attend with Baseball Bats and Bricks is not mentioned) The 22-year-old Feral male driver was arrested and charged by Police with drunk driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop and sustained loss of traction, Once he stopped after wiping out a Lamp post and a Resident’s Fence. He is due to appear in the New Plymouth District Court on Wednesday January 6th 2016.
